Tributes
Christopher Alan Callis, lovingly known to most as "Copher", left this world, and left us heartbroken, on the morning of June 4, 2022.
Copher passed from this Earth doing one of the things he loved the most: pushing his limits. He poured his heart into everything he did and he was exceptional with whatever he applied himself to. He was a self-taught musician, learned other languages on his own, and enjoyed many different things throughout his life.
He was athletic from a young age, competing in gymnastics, and always enjoyed the water; especially surfing, swimming and free-diving. He was an underwater welder, a teacher, a farm hand, a bartender, a guitarist, a lifeguard, a horse tamer, a survivalist and a father - that was our Copher.
If you knew Copher, you knew he was always up for an adventure, he took pride in being able to live off the land, and enjoyed life even more fully with a friend by his side. He loved traveling, figuring out what made things work, fishing and catching crabs. He was always an animal lover and enjoyed being free above all else.
Copher was really and truly a lot of different things to a lot of different people, and that is the very thing that made him so special. But for all of these, he would never be so full of pride as when he would speak about his three boys; he always called them his legacy and greatest achievement, and made it known that they gave him more joy and honor than any other. Each of them carries his spirit and embodies his strength of will. Their journeys are just beginning, and we await eagerly to see the paths they take, thanks to the trail that Copher blazed.
Our hearts will never be the same without him, we will miss you Copher. Forever.
In lieu of flowers:
